Outflow Boundary Passage

An outflow boundary induced by diabatic cooling associated with a band of precipitation passed through the Salt Lake Valley this morning, bringing a marked change in wind direction, some rain and snow at the U, and even a few claps of thunder.

The outflow boundary is very well captured by the Olympus Cove weather camera maintained by U alumus George Wilkerson.

The radar tells the tale as well.

Ah, spring in Utah.
